Throwback Gallery: 2025 Trans Am Memorial Day Classic at Lime Rock Park
We’re a week out from the 2026 Trans-Am Memorial Day Classic at Lime Rock Park so I thought a gallery of some of my favorites from 2025 would be fun to make and share. Enjoy!
This was the first event with the new catch fencing on the outside of the uphill, which meant I had to find a new angle for the classic LRP wheelie shot.
On Friday afternoon the rains came for the TA2 qualifying session. I decided to go out to the outfield hillside and managed to figure out how to capture the beehives, the creek, and the track in one photo.
A fan soaking up the sun in Big Bend with the TA2 machines roaring by behind her.
Reverend Heidi Truax, of Trinity Lime Rock Church, which is located across the street from Lime Rock Park, was gifted this commemorative trophy and a lifetime pass to congratulate her on her retirement and to thank her for her years of service. For 20+ years, Rev. Truax offered the invocation before the green flag flew.
Driver Mike Skeen having a nice moment with a young fan during the Fan Walk.
Katie Weiser, of Sharon Playhouse, singing the National Anthem during pre-race ceremonies.
Elijah from the Make A Wish Foundation with the most famous command in racing “Drivers, Start Your Engines!”
It rained pretty hard for the second half of the race on Saturday.
Lime Rock officially opened the new Pavilion overlooking the spectator hillside. Channel 3 was there for the ribbon cutting.
Kids always find a way to play.

It’s Nick!
The love of racing being passed from one generation to the next.

The cars that the kids in the program built from the ground up over the school year.
You can see how important this program is to these kids in how much love they have for the people who love it.
